Monday was long. I was anxious about Aarons hip surgery, I knew it would go fine, but I couldn't shake the anxiety. He was a trooper and is doing better than the last time when he had his other side done. I was the happiest when I got to walk into recovery and see him, full of smiles waiting for me. He doesn't remember much of the recovery room, but he just smiled the whole time and refused to let go of my hand- it was just what I needed. We came home Tuesday and it has been easy and rough and everything in between. We are taking it day by day, and day by day he gets a little better.
But these days...
We have a really weird sleep schedule, 2am bedtimes with a few wake ups.
We nap, a lot.
We watch a lot of boy meets world.
We eat popsicles, Jell-o and ice cream.
We take one day at a time.
Today holds more of the same, but I'm okay with that. All I want to do is make sure he has no pain and that I am doing my best to take care of him.
What have you been up to?
